Rola Bola, Portés, Physical Theater, Dance
Crude oil (in German: crude oil) is a primary material derived from ancient organisms. Discovered by man, it is transformed into its opposite: synthetic chemistry, fuels. This performance explores the sensation of distancing. Between the natural and the human, between destruction and construction, fascination and disgust.
Wood, cardboard, plastic, two bodies. By moving the objects, dancing with and among them, by lifting themselves and throwing themselves, by seeking impossible acrobatics, they create and unmake their world. And they continue to balance on the rola bola. Both they and the audience wonder: What are they holding on to?
